Due to fears about the corona virus, we've been notified that we must temporarily close the Senior Center to group use such as serving meals or playing games. This closure is expected to take effect this week and last for up to four weeks. Meals on Wheels will still be prepared and delivered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and if you wish you may call to have a meal prepared for you to pick up. We were well entertained last Thursday by JessieJane singing and playing the acoustical guitar. Her voice is lovely and she plays guitar very well! She will be back to entertain us again! Our project to move the health equipment out of the basement is compete. We have many items to loan - from canes to power wheelchairs. Our beautification project is moving right along. The plan for putting the name on the building is settled. At the quarterly business meeting on Tuesday, the 3rd (at this moment that’s still in the future) we will decide on the style of the new front windows. One benefit of membership in the Senior Citizens’ Club is the right to vote on such issues. Another benefit is the 24/7 access to our exercise room with treadmills, stationary bikes, an elliptical trainer, etc. And when the weather turns cold, members can bring their outdoor potted plants...
A senior laden Three Forks High School volleyball team will open the 2019- season at a two-day tournament August 30 and 31 in Choteau. The team lost just two varsity players to graduation and while head coach Tracy Welter said there are huge shoes to fill, all eight seniors can all really play. The Senior Center has kept plugging along. We missed a couple of days for deep snow, but it looks like we’re over the worst of it now. When there are enough players, we have Bingo on Thursdays at 12:30. There have been enough players every Saturday at 2:00, and Bingo is played then. Anyone who wishes to come play with us either time is welcome. Cards are $1 each and the money is paid out to the winnners.
