    It was an amazing weekend at the Class B/C State Tournament for the Three Forks High School speech and drama team. The host Wolves finished second place as a team in both speech and drama and had three state champions. John Jennings won the state championship in Lincoln-Douglas Debate and Kilah Pfadt and Dean Bucholz won the title in Policy Debate.     11 was a great year for rodeo in Three Forks. Rodeo Board Chairman Chuck Wambeke discussed the year during his yearly report to the Three Forks City Council. Wambeke told Council members there were a total of 22 events, the grounds were occupied 37 days, and they brought in $181,000. Their expenses for the year were $116,000. Using 2001 as an example of the growth at the grounds, he said they brought in a little under $20,000, had 10 events, and the grounds were occupied 20 days.     Lawmakers in Helena are beginning discussions on how to build and maintain the state's infrastructure, including roads, bridges, wastewater systems and state buildings. Again, the debate will come down to which projects get funding and whether that funding comes by way of cash or borrowing.     Going into last Thursday's conference matchup against Whitehall, Three Forks High School boys basketball coach Terry Hauser felt his team had a great week of practice. The hard work in the gym paid off for the Wolves and they came out of the gates firing on all cylinders outscoring the visiting Trojans 17-4 in the opening quarter on their way to a 52-35 victory.     Throughout her career with the Three Forks High School girls basketball team, senior Kyle Olson has excelled with numerous huge games for the Lady Wolves. Faced with a two-game losing streak, Olson once again shined Friday night for Three Forks with a monster game scoring 30 points in the 45-34 road victory over host Jefferson High School.     After a long and grueling season, the Three Forks High School wrestling team is hoping to get several injured athletes back in time for this Saturday's B/C Divisional Tournament in Townsend. Head Coach Nye Howey said wrestlers Domanic LaBonte, Carsten Manring, and Byron Hay are all dealing with injuries and it will be day-to-day to see if they will be able to compete at the Tournament.
