The Broadwater County Commissioners are asking residents to fill out a survey to gauge their interest in a possible emergency services facility in the “Wheatland” area in the county’s southern end. Two nights after their first conference loss of the season 65-63 Thursday at rival Manhattan, the Three Forks High School boys basketball team bounced back emphatically with a 69-32 home win over Townsend. On the heels of a December which brought exceptional moisture to the Treasure State, January largely lacked needed precipitation. Monthly Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) SNOTEL site totals across Montana show that January precipitation was below to near normal. "The first week of the month looked promising. It was an impressive week for the Three Forks High School girls basketball team. The Wolves wrapped up regular season play in the 5B Conference with a 37-31 win Thursday over Manhattan and a 58-36 home win Saturday at Townsend. They ended 5B District play with a 7-3 record and are currently in third place. The Three Forks High School wrestling team had two individual champions and qualified five wrestlers for state at last week's Western B/C Tournament in Butte. Cole Rogers at 103 and Brayden Linville at 113 had first place finishes for Three Forks. Chase Kirkland at 126 and Dylan Kamps at 138 finished in third place.
