    There will be plenty of great rodeo action next week in Three Forks. The annual Three Forks High School and Junior High Rodeos are scheduled to take place Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. The event will start at 9 a.m. on April 27 and 8 a.m. on April 28. Christina Kamps of the Three Forks Rodeo Board said a "Cowboy Church Service" will also take place at 7:45 on Sunday.   • Fatal accident number down statewide in 2019

    There has been a total of 24 fatalities on Montana roads in 2019, five occurring in the MDOT Region 7 that includes the Three Forks area and Gallatin County, Broadwater County, Meagher County, Madison County and Park County. A report from the Montana Highway Patrol showed one of the District fatalities happening on the Interstate, two on state highways and two on rural roads. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, as of April 15 the number is down statewide from the same time in 2018 where there were 28 reported fatalities on Montana roads....

    The Three Forks City Council will host a public hearing April 23 on a resolution establishing fees for "park user groups". In September of 2018, the City Council established Title 8, Chapter 6 to define park lands within the City and impose reasonable time, place, and conduct controls for events and uses.     The other day I was at the grocery store searching for some chipotle peppers in adobo sauce when I overheard two ladies having a conversation. They had not seen each other in quite some time and were very happy to see each other and exchange pleasantries with a few questions about how things were going. I could tell at a point in time they were very close as they both asked about their spouses, kids, and jobs.     The Gallatin Valley Outlaws American Legion baseball team will be hosting a clinic Saturday, May 4 at Imery's Field. The Outlaw Day Youth Baseball Clinic is open to players from T-ball to age 15. Instruction will be provided by coaches and players from the Gallatin Valley Outlaws and Posse. The clinic is scheduled from 9 a.m. to Noon at the field located at 1800 Bench Road in Three Forks.     The 35th Annual Kim's Idaho State Championship Tournament was held on March 23, 2019, in Boise, Idaho. This tournament is one of the largest taekwondo tournaments held in the northwest with schools from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and more competing in forms, sparring, and breaking.
