    Broadwater County voters narrowly approved Tuesday a levy for 39.93 mills to fund approximately $700,000 for the Broadwater County Sheriff's Office. 1,398 voters were in favor of the levy and 1,329 voted against. According to County Attorney Cory Swanson, the levy will be limited to five years, and the funds can only be used for the Sheriff's Office and Public Safety budget.     The National Weather Service in Great Falls reported Monday that minor flooding is likely occurring along the Gallatin River from Big Sky north to near Logan. According to officials, water levels are expected to gradually fall in the next few days, however, there will be minor fluctuations up overnight and down during the day and this may cause some bridges to Forest Service campgrounds to be flooded, or at least made difficult to cross.     The Headwaters Country Jam has been rescheduled. The popular annual event originally scheduled June 18 to 20 at the "Bridge" near Three Forks will now take place August 20 to 22. The most recent lineup listed on the Country Jam website includes Dustin Lynch, Clay Walker, Midland, Ashley McBride, Mitchell Tenpenny, Blanco Brown, the Cadillac Three and Tim Montana.   • Tours underway at local caverns

    Three Forks residents looking for some adventure will not have to travel far with a trip to Lewis and Clark Caverns. Caverns tours officially started for the season May 22 and will run throughout the summer. According to park officials, this year there will be new tour protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19 while keeping park staff and visitors safe.   • Wading pool closed for 2020

    City of Three Forks officials announced last week the Wading Pool at Stevenson Park will not be open this summer. Due to the guidelines issued by the Governor and Health Department, the City of Three Forks cannot maintain social distancing requirements, a special paint must be applied prior to opening, the pool is not chlorinated so would require draining, sanitizing and refilling daily, and sanitizing frequently touched surfaces a minimum of four times per day.     Members of the Friends of the Three Forks Library have recently been working hard on a flower bed project. They are also hoping to get more people to join the organization that raises money for projects and programs at the library. According to member Nancy O'Donnell, they wanted to freshen up the flower beds at the library located at 607 S. Main and were able to do so purchasing all local products.     Ralph E Wilcox went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 26, 2020 at The Legacy Assisted Living in Helena, where he resided since November 2018. Ralph was born in Three Forks at his grandparents home to Ralph M and Vera Wilcox. Ralph graduated from Three Forks in 1942. Ralph enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1943, graduated from flight training in 1944, and served as a pilot in the 12th Air Force in Italy during WWII.
