    Like many artists before her, Kelsea Ballerini was told she shouldn't play too much of her new album, "Unapologetically," in her headlining shows that followed the November 2017 release of the album. The fear was that fans might not know the new material and could be disappointed if the show features too many new selections. Ballerini did not heed that advice for her tour, playing "Unapologetically" pretty much in its entirety to make up the main body of her headlining shows in early 2018.     Local baseball fans will get plenty of action this weekend at the 20th annual Imerys Memorial Tournament. The host Gallatin Valley Outlaws will play five games at the tournament scheduled for June 6 to June 9 at the Imerys Field in Three Forks. The American Legion team will open the tournament Thursday, June 6 with a 6 p.m. matchup against Lewistown. On Friday, the Outlaws will take on Cody, Wyoming at 6 p.m. Gallatin Valley will play two games on Saturday, June 8, the first a 3:45 p.m....

    Three Forks residents interested in running for Mayor or Council must file with Gallatin County prior to June 17 at 5 p.m. The City Council has three seats that will expire on December 31 and the unexpired term of the Mayor is also open. Current Mayor Steve Hamilton resigned from his position in May. The new Mayor appointed June 25 is subject to nomination and election at the next municipal general election scheduled for November 5, 2019.     Over the past weeks kids from across the area were able to wrap up the school year with their annual spring field trips. I was able to read online about what seemed to be some pretty amazing trips and the kids really seemed to be happy about where they were going. It's really great local schools plan these trips for the kids. After a long year in the classroom it is always nice for them to get out and have a little fun.
