    Jack H. Smith, Three Forks Voice|Sep 21, 2022

The Three Forks Area Ambulance service is in desperate need of volunteers. With their current number, board member Barbara Mutter has dire concerns with the size of the service area, the rise in population including southern Broadwater County, and how this could affect response times. Mutter said in an interview at the ambulance barn last week they currently have 14 volunteers at the service a number that has continued to drop since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She added of the 14, two are currently on leave, and three are drivers.... Full story

On Saturday, September 10th, the Three Forks FFA Chapter spent the day picking potatoes for Martin Kimm outside of Manhattan. We want to thank Martin Kimm and his family for giving us this opportunity to learn more about Ag, connect with other FFA members, and help in our... Full story

  • Coaches Corner: Power in the Pen

    Ellie West, Contributing Writer|Sep 21, 2022

If there is one thing I learned from my Dad, it is always to write a personal thank you note to those who gave you a gift or someone who has done something kind or extraordinary for you. He always told me that a verbal thank you is never enough. I will always embrace that lesson. It has served me well. I was flying in a leadership position on my last London trip and had arrived about 5 hours before my crew briefing. I took a short nap, then sat down in the crew lounge to start writing thank you notes to my First Class passengers. All but one... Full story

  • Column: Announcing is tough

    Jack H. Smith, Three Forks Voice|Sep 21, 2022

I love to watch football and was a little more than fired up to watch the Denver Broncos open the NFL season with a Monday Night Football matchup at Seattle. It turns out it was a very bizarre game with an awful ending. Even worse, I had to listen to Troy Aikman and Joe Buck announce the game. Whenever I have to hear the duo, it is worse than nails screeching on my grade school chalkboard, and by around the second quarter, I need to put the game on mute to keep my sanity. It’s even worse when Buck is calling a baseball game. I don’t think I’v...
