    Want to learn more or voice your opinion about the Growth Policy in the City of Three Forks? The website https://envisionthreeforks.com gives local residents the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire, pin the map to provide thoughts of where you would like to see improvements, and even upload photos to share ideas. The City is in the initial stages of reviewing and updating its Growth Policy (GP), and this is a master plan which is updated every five years.   • Broadwater County Sheriff's Office adds 2 local deputies

    There will soon be an increased presence of law enforcement in southern Broadwater County. At last week's City Council Meeting, Broadwater County Sheriff Wynn Mehan told the governing body he has hired two additional deputies to work in the area. Mehan had personally attended a council meeting earlier this year and said his goal was to get more enforcement at that end of the county.   • Rodeo Board Continues Fundraising Efforts

    While the Three Forks Rodeo was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is still a way to help the rodeo board with their fundraising efforts for the new bleachers. The board is asking area residents to consider donating the $15 they would have on a ticket for the 2020 rodeo to the fundraising efforts for the bleachers that were installed earlier this year.   • Gallatin County reports 5th COVID-19 related death

    The Gallatin City-County Health Department is saddened to announce that a Gallatin County resident has passed away from complications due to COVID-19. The person was a woman in her 90s who passed away at her residence in a long-term care facility earlier this month. Gallatin City-County Health Department received the official death certificate this week that attributed the death to COVID-19. This is the fifth death in Gallatin County related to COVID-19.     With demand for food bank services surging in Montana during the pandemic, the Town Pump Charitable Foundation is matching $750,000 in contributions during its 19th annual fundraising campaign for food banks across Montana, including Headwaters Area Food Bank in Three Forks. A record-setting 93 food banks are participating in the statewide "Be A Friend in Deed, Helping Those in Need" campaign this year.     The Montana High School Association voted last week to delay the start of the winter sports season to January 4. According to Executive Director Mark Beckman, they delayed practices until December 7.
