    Trick or Treat on Main is back in Three Forks. The popular event will be hosted by the Three Forks Chamber in 2021 and will take place Friday, October 29, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Three Forks Chamber Director Deb Niedermeyer said the Chamber has been getting a lot of emails and phone calls about the event's status this year and is thrilled they can move forward.   • City ARPA Grant Application Certified

    The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) has certified an application from the City of Three Forks for a $436,023 request for an American Rescue Plan Act Water and Sewer Minimum Allocation Grant. The municipality would use the money for a project to increase supply capacity to meet current demands with the largest producing well out of service and improve water supply quality.   • Wolves food drive nets 400 pounds

    Not only has the Three Forks High School Cross Country team excelled throughout the 2021 season, but they are also shining outside of competition. A recent food drive conducted by the team produced an incredible 400 pounds of food for the Headwaters Area Food Bank. Head Coach Tara Forsberg said it is a yearly tradition on the last day of junior high practice to have a scavenger hunt and figured the high school team could enjoy some different for practice.     The Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department is once again giving back to the local community with their annual food drive for the Headwaters Area Food Bank. This year’s drive will also include a fundraising sloppy joe dinner for the department scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the fire hall.     HELENA – The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission is considering adjustments to wolf trapping regulations for the 2021 season at its Oct. 28 meeting. The proposed changes are aimed at minimizing the possibility of non-target capture of lynx and grizzly bears. Both species are protected under the Endangered Species Act.
