    The Three Forks Chamber of Commerce will host the Annual Christmas Stroll on Friday, December 2nd. Main Street will close early, allowing strollers to visit local businesses starting at 4:30 p.m. and get a head start on Christmas Shopping. The Stroll will kick off with a tree lighting ceremony and a lighted parade led by Santa himself.     A holiday promotion created by local small business owners is allowing shoppers to win gift cards by finding the "3 Forks in Three Forks. During the promotion, which started last week during Small Business Saturday and will run until December 17, shoppers can sign up to win gift cards by filling out a ticket after finding one of the "3 Forks" at participating businesses.   • Ambulance Service hosting fundraising dinner

    A Drive Thru BBQ Chicken Dinner next week will raise money for the Three Forks Area Ambulance Service. The proceeds from the donation-based fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, December 8 at 4 p.m. at the Ambulance Barn at 2 East Hickory will help pay for EMS Training Classes. The meal includes a chicken sandwich, coleslaw, and chips. The fundraiser will be critical for the service that needs additional volunteers and will help offset the $1,800 cost of an EMS training class.   • Council approves Mayor to help out with public works

    The Three Forks City Council unanimously voted last week to allow Mayor Randy Johnston to perform specific duties for the Public Works Department. Duties authorized for Johnston from November 24 to 27 and December 28 to January 9 include snowplowing, sanding, plowing on the Headwaters Trail System, chlorine residual daily testing, and wastewater sample collecting.     Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) officials said today that increased benefits are now available to families through the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, commonly known as WIC.     CARDWELL – Game wardens with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks are seeking information on a deer that was killed illegally at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park. Sometime between the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12, a deer was shot in the eastern half of the park, where hunting is prohibited.
