It's so far, so good during the first three weeks of competition for the Three Forks High School Speech and Drama Team. According to Head Coach Jonathon Sutton, the team opened the season on October 29 in Deer Lodge, finishing first in Drama and Second in Speech. In their next meet on November 5 at West Yellowstone, the Drama team again finished first, and Speech was second. It will be an excellent time for kids on Sunday, December 11, at Book Therapy and Moore in downtown Three Forks. The business at 120 B on South Main is hosting a Polar Express Kid's Book Club event at 3 p.m. According to owner Jodi Moore, they will have coloring time at the event, read the Polar Express Book, have snacks and hot chocolate, and watch the movie. The Girls 14U Ice Dogs hit the ice this past weekend for the Annual Bozeman Cup Tournament. 14U and 19U Girls' Teams from the region competed at Haynes Pavilion and Ressler Motors Ice Rink Arena. Teams came in from Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Kalispell, and Missoula. The Ice Dogs fought hard through the weekend but ultimately fell short. Julian was born on April 5, 1926, to Hugh Weston and Helen May Norville in Grand Rapids, North Dakota. They lived in Larimore, North Dakota then in Lodge Grass, Montana, for a number of years before moving to Waterloo, Montana. Julian attended high school in Whitehall, Montana. Gallatin County has purchased the Farm Bureau building in Bozeman, adding space for current and future county operations to continue serving our growing population.
