  • Coaches Corner: Word for the Year

    Ellie West, Contributing Writer|Dec 21, 2022

For the last several years, my husband and I have chosen a word for the year. The WORD we choose allows us to set our intention for the year. Your WORD is a powerful reminder to stay focused on your goals. My WORD and my husband's WORD are printed in capital letters on my monthly calendar. We get to look at it every day. It triggers something positive in your brain and helps you stay focused. Over the years, many of us, including myself, would set a New Year's Resolution. The problem with New Year's Resolutions is that we are "all in" at the... Full story

  • Column: Maybe a bit to cold to cook outside

    Jack H. Smith, Three Forks Voice|Dec 21, 2022

I’m not sure why I thought cooking ribs outside in December was a splendid idea, but it did not stop me from battling the below-zero temperatures for a nice home-cooked meal. It was probably about the third time I spritzed the ribs that I really questioned my decisions. I’m not much of a New Year’s Resolution type, but maybe in 2023, I will refrain from putting on the apron and standing outside like an idiot as my beard freezes. When the weather finally returned to the 30s later in the month, I decided to try the pellet grill with a recip... Full story

Maddie Tesoro would step up big time for Three Forks, and her three-pointer with under a minute left would be the game's final points in the 46-45 victory. "I am so grateful the girls got the conference win, and it was on the... Full story
