    Just a few days after Christmas, 11-year-old Sawyer Ewan had three grand mal seizures on December 29. After multiple seizures over the next three days, he was life-flighted on December 31 from Bozeman to the Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. Once in Utah, the seizures would continue for the Gallatin Valley resident, whose parents, Aurelia Ewan and Levi Ewan, grew up in Three Forks.     Montana State University has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for fall semester 2023. There are two MSU honor roll lists: the President’s List and the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the lists, students must be enrolled in at least 12 college-level credits.     The deadline to sign up for the 2024 Three Forks School District Adult Education Classes is nearing. The deadline to sign up for the classes that will begin on February 5 and run for eight weeks is February 1. According to Program Director Tyler Palmer, new classes this year include Tawny's Dance and Fitness, Navigating Computers and Social Media, and Latin American Arts.     With the Three Forks Outdoor Ice Rink at Stevenson Park open for the season, residents are reminded to follow the City's rules and regulations. The rules for the rink, which first opened in 2021, include respecting other users, especially those learning to skate, and no vehicles on the ice.     The Three Forks School District Adult Education Classes are set to begin on February 5, with eight classes available for area residents.     December was again a busy month. TFAA responded to 26 calls. 15 of these were transports to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. 5 of these hospital transports we were assisted by AMR paramedics due to the severity of the calls. The rest of the calls were refusals, cancelled prior to arrival, and standbys for athletic events at the Three Forks High School. Total calls for 2023 were over 300 emergency responses.     There was some amazing recent news for the Three Forks Area Ambulance (TFAA) Service with the arrival and installation of a new Stryker Power Load Cot. According to Barbara Mutter of TFAA, the $53,000 cot was purchased with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from Gallatin County.     Christmas came early to Three Forks Area Ambulance! We received our new power load cot and had it installed. This Powerload Cot is part of the Gallatin County ARPA Fund Grant that we received. The cost of the Powerload Cot from Stryker is $53,000. Three Forks Area Ambulance had a very busy November. We responded to 30 emergency calls. At the end of November, we had around 290 emergency calls since January 1,2023. TFAA transported 9 of these calls to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
