Whitetail Ranch Center Black Tie Gala Saturday

It will be a great time for a great cause Saturday, August 24 at the Whitetail Ranch Center's Black Tie Gala.

The event is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at The Commons in Bozeman and will feature keynote speaker David "Doc" Chung, entertainment from Steven Mazan, Comedian, of GI's of Comedy, and dinner from Zac's Montana Kitchen. The cost to attend the Whitetail's Black Tie Gala is $75 and the attire is Cowboy "Casual" Tuxedo.


Whitetail Ranch Center's mission is to meet the needs of veterans with PTSD. Whitetail Ranch Center will empower veterans to lead independent, productive, and healthy lives.

The vision Whitetail Ranch Center is a non-profit, long-term residential, working ranch serving and supporting the needs of veterans with PTSD. Veterans will learn vocational ranching skills through daily ranch responsibilities while pursuing educational or vocational goals and regaining comfort with social interactions. Veterans will receive support through equine activities, natural horsemanship training, and traditional services.

Doc served in Vietnam in 1972. He was assigned to Bien Hoa Air Base with Detachment 1, 377th Air Base Wind, 7th Air Force and was attached to the 1st Marine Air Wing, 12th Marine Air Group as a Composite Unit during the 1972 Easter Offensive. Doc was wounded during the Siege of An Loc. He is the recipient of the Purple Heart, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, USAF Outstanding Unit Award with "V Device" for Combat Operations, Vietnam Campaign Medal with One Bronze Battle Star, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Award, Good Conduct Award, and Air Force Longevity Award. He is a disabled Veteran.
