Head coach Tara Forsberg said she was happy with the results of the boys team and the junior varsity team had runners finish first, second, third, and sixth. She added the upperclassmen on the boys team did well at the race, but it's a very competitive and fast field they are in so they will have to work hard this season.

Jacob Ramsey finished first in the junior varsity race with a time of 21:36, Garrett Golding was second at 21:50, and Beau Johnston was third at 22:44. Trace Hay was sixth at 24:11, Noah Hegar had a time of 25:19 and Asher Lehr had a time of 27:49.

In varsity action, Wyatt Golding finished in 11th place with a time of 21:29. Devon Potts was 13th with a time of 22:19, Aden Lehr and Jeron Berg both hard times of 22:55, Dean Buchholz finished at 24:19 and John Ward added a time of 29:23.

The team will next compete Saturday at the Belgrade meet in Bozeman.

"We will restructure our boys teams next week to find the best combination for the week. Our younger runners are working really hard and it showed Saturday," Forsberg said.
