For the second straight week, the Three Forks/Willow Creek High School football team will be on the road for a 5B Conference game when they travel to take on Columbus.

Both teams will be looking to pick up their first win ofthe season Friday. The Wolves fell on the road last Friday 47-0 against rival Manhattan, while the Cougars lost 14-7 to Jefferson High School.

Two games into the season, head coach Connor Sullivan feels the defensive effort has been pretty solid.

"I like the way the kids compete on that side of the ball. We just need to keep our offense on the field long, so our D isn't out there as much," he said.

On offensive, Sullivan said the team improved from week one which was a positive.

"But we have to be much better on our assignments and who we're supposed to block. We will get lots of reps in practice this week and figure it out," he said.

Sullivan believes the Friday game will come down to who makes more 15 plus yard plays, time of possession, adjustments and takeaways.

"Whoever wins those four categories will win the ball game," he said.

The Wolves will return home for a Homecoming Matchup Friday, Septembr 27 against Big Timber.
