The Three Forks High School volleyball team wrapped up their regular season in style with a five-set senior night victory last Saturday over visiting Big Timber.

The Lady Wolves opened the match in impressive fashion winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-19. The Lady Herders would battle back to win the next two sets (16-25, 16-25), before the Three Forks took the victory winning the fifth and final set 15-11.

"Last night's (October 26) win felt pretty awesome! I think it's super important to head into the district tourney on such a positive note. It really is a testament to our senior leadership. They have battled and worked hard all year long, so to be able to have that victory on senior night was pretty amazing for all of them." said head coach Tracy Welter.

McKenzie Feddes and Erin Welter each had a team-high 13 digs, Keaton Lynn had four blocks, Peyton Page had 13 assists, Welter had six kills and Feddes had two aces.

The victory was the final home game for seniors Feddes, Kirstin Klompien, Macey Combs, Kendall Lynn, Page, Welter, Lilly Lindquist, and Breanna Bloch.

"I absolutely love my seniors. They are such good role models to the underclassmen," Welter said.

Three Forks will open postseason play Thursday at the 5B District Tournament in Belgrade. The fourth-seeded Lady Wolves will face off against fifth-seeded Whitehall at 11:30 a.m. The two teams had a thrilling match last week with the Lady Trojans picking up a five-set home victory.

Welter said funny things happen during tourney time and the 2019 event could be crazy.

"It seems like everyone has beat or lost to someone that they themselves beat or lost to. It really is anyone's district championship to have," she said.

The winner of the Thursday matchup will face Broadwater County Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The loser will play Thursday at 4 p.m.
