The Three Forks School District recently hired several new teachers.

The School Board of Trustees approved last week the hire of Jake Lynch as the new K-12 Assistant Principal. He will join the team of K-5 Principal Steve Fanning and 6-12 Principal Greg Heys.

Superintendent Jeff Elliott told the board they interviewed three candidates for the principal position.

"We are excited to have Jake be a part of our administrative staff. He's going to lend a real strength to what we do in Three Forks," Elliott said.

In other new hires, the board approved the hire of Miranda Van Beek as a long-term social studies substitute, and also hired her as a social studies teacher for next school year.

Other new hires included Colton James (social studies), Sarah Malott (middle school), Megan Weinheimer (middle school), Tiffany Lynch (fifth grade), Karsyn Houska (fourth grade), Jamie Housman (second grade) and Jonathan Sutton (5-12 band/music).
