Governor Steve Bullock announced April 22 that districts could choose to reopen for the remainder of the school year.

According to Superintendent Jeff Elliott, the school board, in consultation with Matt Kelley of the Gallatin County Health Department would be making the determination on the reopening.

"The safety of our staff and students is of the utmost importance to us during this time, but we also understand how important it is for our kids to be back in school. We will be soliciting suggestions from parents and students on their thoughts on the possible reopening," Elliott said.

Schools in Montana have been closed since March 16.
