Duane Kenneth Severson

Duane Kenneth Severson was born on May 10th,1942 in Wheaton Village, Minnesota to Dolly Pechia Severson and Kenneth Severson. Duane passed away on September 12th ,2020 surrounded by his family. Duane was the first born child of a very large blended family.

He spent his early years in Minnesota and Montana. Later he joined the Army with his best friend from childhood, Adrian Erickson, serving in Germany, before returning to Minnesota. He then met and married Jeannine Boehland, and later divorced. They had one son, Wayne Michael, born on December 31st, 1973.

Duane enjoyed living and working building silos, ranching and logging in Minnesota, Montana, and North Dakota. His later years were spent in Challis, Idaho near his dear sister Darlene Wright and her family. On his 78th birthday he returned to Three Forks, Montana to enjoy his remaining time with his large caring family. Listening to old country music was a great love of his, and reminiscing about days gone by. Family appreciated Duane's sometimes sarcastic, dry humor which recently included, "At least 'The 19' (Covid) didn't take me down."

Duane was preceded in death by his mother Dolly, father Kenneth, sister Darlene Wright and brother David Severson.

Duane is survived by his son Wayne (Amy) Pafko. His grandchildren Charlotte, Benjamin, and Julia of Marshall, Minnesota.

Siblings Cherie Menard, Townsend, Debbie (Jerry) Dalrymple, Jewell, Kansas,

Cindy Taylor, Willow Creek, Bud (Toni) Taylor, White Sulphur Springs, Pam Vandolah, Sue (Rod) Allen, Konnie (Wendell) Ewan, Kenny Severson Jr., Patty (LeRoy) McCauley all of Three Forks. Duane also has many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held for family and friends at 11am Wednesday, September 16th, at the Fairview Cemetery in Three Forks, MT. Arrangements by K & L mortuary, with Charlie Christensen officiating.
