Board receives bond report

The Three Forks School board recently received a bond-building report.

Andy Becker, Project Manager for Hulteng CCM, discussed the progress for the $15 million high school and $10 million K-8 bonds that were approved by voters earlier this year.

On the design side, Becker noted things are progressing nicely with the schematic design. He said they have had some really good meetings with the architects to ensure the district's interests were being met in the schematic design.

The next step in the process will be design development, and according to Becker, this is where they are starting to identify the actual components that are going to be going into the buildings including types of materials and the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems they are looking to utilize. He added this process should last 45 days.

He added while this is going on, they have received five RFQ's for a General Contractor/Construction Manager (GCCM) and will be conducting an interview process for the position that would involve the district bond committee. The committee would then make a recommendation to the school board.
