MHSA moves start of winter sports

The Montana High School Association voted last week to delay the start of the winter sports season to January 4.

According to Executive Director Mark Beckman, they delayed practices until December 7. The original starting date for practices was November 19.

“The delay will allow time for schools and communities to assist in flattening the curve and to get through two holiday seasons within their own teams and within their own communities before contests begin,” Beckman said.
