Council seat vacant

There is a vacancy on the Three Forks City Council.

Town officials announced last week the immediate resignation of Erin Schattauer. The appointment of the vacancy is planned for March 23 at 7 p.m. The deadline to file is March 18. The Three Forks resident filling the position is subject to nomination and election at the next general municipal election.

Every resident of the City of Three Forks who is 18 years of age or older, a citizen of Montana, and a qualified elector pursuant to Article IV, Section 2 of the Montana Constitution is eligible to hold the office of a council member.

Interested candidates shall submit a letter stating their interest to the City Clerk at [email protected] or via mail or hand delivery to City Hall at 206 Main Street / PO Box 187, Three Forks, MT 59752.
