My first couple of summer jobs were both at fast-food restaurants. After a stint the summer after I graduated high school as a glorified gopher at a Days Inn, I found myself employed at a McDonalds the summer after my first year at the University of Wyoming.
By the time I reached the summer before the first of three or four senior years, I knew that I needed to make a lot more money and would have to ditch the comfortable and stinky familiarity of fast food.
