Bids come in $1 million under budget

There was a double dose of good news at last week's Three Forks School Board meeting.
Andy Becker, Project Manager for Hulteng CCM, reported the bids opened March 31 for the Three Forks School building addition and renovation project, and they came in under their target budget. Becker also reported that construction would start next month.
Superintendent Jeff Elliott said it was very tense to start when opening bids, but they ended up about $1 million under what they had hoped. He added in a Covid era, with prices of lumber and steel being volatile, it was good news to be under budget.
