Outlaws qualify for state tournament


The Gallatin Valley Outlaws are headed to the state tournament.

The Outlaws finished second at last week’s American Legion Class A South District Tournament in Livingston and will open state Thursday, July 29, against the top seed from the East, Glendive. The game is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Havre. The winner of the game will face the winner of the second seed from the West Mission Valley and the top seed from the North Great Falls in a game scheduled for July 30 at 4 p.m.

Gallatin Valley opened last week’s tournament with an 18-2 win over Anaconda and a 6-1 Friday win over Butte.
