Three Forks preps for Wednesday night matchup against Colstrip

Tip-off set for 6 p.m. at MetraPark Arena

It's a win, and you're in for the Three Forks High School boys basketball team when they open the Southern B Divisional Tournament Wednesday, March 2, at the MetraPark Arena in Billings with a 6 p.m. play-in game against Colstrip.

According to Wolves Head Coach Terry Hauser, Colstrip has been in the Divisional Tournament every year he has been coaching in Three Forks, and this will be the fourth time he has faced them.

"They are going to play hard, put a lot of pressure on our guards, and get out and run, which we are no stranger of. They are a very well-coached team.... It's going to be another great game," Hauser said.

After winning a regular-season 5B title and finishing third at the district tournament, Hauser is excited to take his squad to Billings.

"The Metra is always an amazing atmosphere. In my opinion, we are very fortunate to get to have our divisional tournament there, and I believe it to be the best venue in the state. Not to mention this year, it is loaded with talented teams. It should be a wild weekend of great basketball," Hauser said.

When Three Forks takes to the court against Colstrip, it will be their first game since February 19.

"I absolutely love the week break before Divisionals. It's so nice to work on any specifics and prepare for your opponents," Hauser said.

The winner of the game between Three Forks and Colstrip will play Columbus Thursday, March 3 at 5 p.m.
