Three Forks Ladies Night Fall Walk October 6

Now in its third year, the Three Forks Ladies Night Fall Walk has seen tremendous growth since the inaugural event in 2020.

Twenty-one businesses are hosting this year’s walk scheduled for Thursday, October 6, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to Pam Carey of Legacy Trading, the origins of the walk date back to an informal gathering of business owners over some drinks. Carey said when COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, they were thinking of a way to get people, especially women, back shopping. Before the 2020 walk, organizers were looking to find the right kind of event that focused on things that appeal to women and get residents back downtown.

“We wanted to get people back out. People had been so confined, and this was a good idea to get them out. School had started, and things were back in a routine. It was just a great way for a night out and to relax and renew acquaintances,” Carey said.

After 11 businesses participated in 2020, the number grew to 17 in 2021, with four more businesses signed up for 2022.

“The growth has been great every year. Both businesses and attendance have grown, and people are enthused about it. The word has spread, and people are coming from the outlying areas throughout the valley,” Carey said.

Along with the growth, Carey was also pleased with the variety of participants.

“We’ve got quite a collection of businesses,” she said.

The businesses participating in 2022 include: Roots Hair Studio, Legacy Trading, Beyond Beauty, Be Lazy Quilting, 3 Rivers Laundry, Three Forks Floral, Rusty Bucket Antiques, V42 Fitness, Hailey Michelle Bodywork, Book Therapy and Moore, The Shoppe Pastry & Coffeehouse, The Studio Gallery, Plaza Bar, Frontier Club, Sacajawea Hotel, Glacier Kettle Kron, Stageline Pizza, Gallatin Valley Vision, Remuda Coffee, Headwaters Golf Course, and Iron Horse Cafe & Pie Shop. Check the participating businesses’ Facebook pages for their in-store promotions. There will also be several pop-up vendors.

Carey encouraged area residents to stop by this Thursday for a start on holiday shopping or to find something special they may be looking for.

“Have a night off in Three Forks enjoying the businesses and seeing what our town has to offer. The forecast is for it to be a nice night, and there seems to be a lot of enthusiasm,” Carey said.

FALL WALK

Participants may pick up their Fall Walk Cards at either Remuda Coffee or the Plaza Bar, where special fall drink purchases will be available to sip while strolling the various locations. Cards must be validated at each location and turned into the Plaza after the event to be entered into prize drawings.

Varied prizes will be drawn for both those able and unable to stay. Participating businesses will showcase their services and/or merchandise, feature in-house promotions, and provide extra chances for additional prize tickets.
