Garwin Millroy Jevning

Garwin Millroy Jevning, 91, of Three Forks, MT passed away peacefully at Serenity Point in Townsend, MT on August 27, 2024. He was born on July 18, 1933, in Canada to Sigurd and Selma Pauline (Olson) Jevning.

Garwin was raised in Lake Bronson, Minnesota and was drafted on September 24, 1953, to serve in the Army as a Mortar Instructor until September 23, 1955. After the Army he was headed west for a job in Great Falls, MT, but God had other plans when Garwin got a flat tire near Three Forks, MT. That's where he met the love of his life, Lois "Mickey" Scanlon. Garwin and Mickey married August 31, 1957.

He was a long-time carpenter in Three Forks and surrounding areas. He also served on the Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.

Garwin loved to go dancing, camping, horseback riding, and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Garwin is survived by his children: Rodger (Tanya) Jevning, Jana (Kirby) Saltness, Allen Jevning (Cori Gootkin), grandchildren: Reed Jevning (Morgan Egli), JaTanna (Tyler) Williams, Chad Jevning (Chelsea Pardue), Jacob Jevning (Katie Sanderson), Kori (Michael) Frank, Randa (Joey) Renenger, great grandchildren: Stella Williams, Hudson Williams, Cason Williams, Bennett Williams, Riley Jevning, Raiden Jevning, Noah Jevning, Lily Jevning, Bridger Frank, Marlie Frank, Ellie Renenger, Easton Renenger, sister: Janice (Butch) Bickford. He is proceeded in death by his wife Lois "Mickey" Jevning, his parents; Sigurd and Selma Jevning, brothers: Lloyd Jevning and Reinhardt Jevning, sister: Judith (Jevning) Anderson.
