In the week of practice following their 51-42 5B District Tournament championship victory over Big Timber, Three Forks High School girls basketball coach Mike Sauvageau has noticed a lot more smiles at practice.

Keaton Lynn keeps a watchful eye on the Three Forks at the 5B District Tournament earlier this month in Belgrade.

"We had a really good week of practice. It's definitely different than before the tournament. It's nice to see them smiling and they have a little hop in their step," he said.

The Lady Wolves will open the Southern B Divisional Tournament Thursday in Billings against Huntley Project.

Sauvageau said Lady Red Devils, who are the second seed from the 4B District, like to pressure their opponents, and have a physical group of athletes with a really good post player and several good guards.

In anticipation of the 9 a.m. tipoff Thursday, Sauvageau said his team has been practicing in the mornings.

Sauvageau added his team is looking forward to the chance to play at Divisionals and at the Metra Park Arena.
