Wilcox siblings excel at taekwondo tourney

The 35th Annual Kim's Idaho State Championship Tournament was held on March 23, 2019, in Boise, Idaho. This tournament is one of the largest taekwondo tournaments held in the northwest with schools from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and more competing in forms, sparring, and breaking. Kim's Taekwondo School of Montana, located in Bozeman, had nine competitors attend, including Allen and Amanda Wilcox. Allen is a freshman at Three Forks High School. He is a first degree junior black belt and an assistant instructor and has been attending classes at Kims's for seven years. Competing in sparring, Allen sparred in two rounds, winning the first round and losing by a half point in the second. He placed second in the Boy's Junior Black Belt Sparring Division. Amanda attends fifth grade at Three Forks Elementary. She currently has a black stripe and has been attending classes at Kim's for 5 years. During competition, Amanda won her sparring rounds, placing first in the Girl's Junior Colored Belt Sparring Division. Both students will attending black belt testing in Boise later this year, with Allen looking to obtain his second degree black belt and Amanda obtaining her first degree black belt.
