Reminder of City of Three Forks Fireworks Regulations


City of Three Forks Officials are reminding local residents of their fireworks regulations.

According to state statutes, fireworks may be sold in Montana from June 24 to July 5.

Fireworks are allowed to be set off four days in Three Forks. July 2, 3, and 5 residents can set of fireworks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On the Fourth of July, residents can set off fireworks from 10 a.m. to Midnight.

Fireworks may not be set off toward or from any motor vehicle or in the vicinity of other people or animals in a manner which may expose them to risk of injury. The use of all fireworks must be supervised by a responsible person. Fireworks may not be set off in the business district on Main Street. The use of fireworks is regulated by MCA 50-37-103 AND City Ordinance 6-2-3.

Anyone setting off fireworks on public property, please pick up and dispose of the remnants properly.

City Officials also announced rules are determined at the Mayor's discretion and they may change when a replacement for Steven Hamilton is named June 25.
