Terry Lynn Hendrickson

August 7, 2019

Terry Lynn Hendrickson was lifted up into the arms of the lord on July 25th with his family at his side. His hard fought battle with cancer had ended, but he remained positive until the end that he would be the victor.

Terry was born on December 18, 1949 in Hamilton, Montana to Thomas Hendrickson and Mary (White) Hendrickson. He grew up and attended school in the Bitterroot Valley. When not in school, Terry spent his time helping his stepfather Jack Paddock in the logging industry learning a work ethic that followed him through life. At the age of 18, Terry enlisted in the Marines as the Vietnam War was raging and aided his country by serving two tours.

Upon his Honorable discharge from the service, he met and married the love of his life Lori Phillips. They would have celebrated 49 years of marriage on October 23, of this year. They set up housekeeping in Three Forks, Montana where their two daughters, Theresa and Trina were born. For 37 years Terry was employed at Cyprus Industrial Minerals where he held several jobs, but his favorite was as a welder. To support his family, he would take on side-jobs and had a bicycle repair business among other endeavors.

Terry was a very hard working and loving man. He bragged and doted on his two granddaughters, Breauna and Brittney Robinson regardless of the activity. He attended their church, school and sporting events faithfully as Breauna excelled in rodeo and Brittney in various school events.

Terry was a gifted craftsman and loved to try new things whether he was working with metal, leather, wood, antler or beading. The people closest to him were the recipients of many a treasured gift.

Terry wasn’t all work and no play. He had a love for horses and his treasured dogs. He loved to fish with the family and hunt with his friends. In later years, Lori and Terry wintered in Arizona, and he spent many an hour riding his side-by-side in the desert out his front door.

Terry was proceeded in death by Theresa Hendrickson (daughter), Mary Baker (mother), Thomas Hendrickson (father), Wayne and Kenny Paddock (brothers). Terry is survived by wife Lori Hendrickson, daughter Trina Robinson (Brad), granddaughters Breauna and Brittney Robinson, 5 brothers 7 sisters, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Three Forks on Thursday August 8th at 10:00 AM.

Graveside and Military Honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
