After two tough Southern B Conference road battles, the Three Forks/Willow Creek High School football team will return home for a Friday night homecoming battle against Big Timber.

In action last week, the Wolves (0-3) fell 32-0 on the road at Columbus, while the Herders (1-3) lost a 25-0 conference matchup against Jefferson High School.

Three Forks head coach Connor Sullivan said it will be really nice to get back home and play in front of the local crowd.

"The atmosphere should be electric with homecoming and a good opponent in Big Timber coming to town," he said.

Looking back to the Friday game against Columbus, the first-year head coach thought the teams offense started to click a little bit.

"We had a couple new formations in and I thought the kids responded well with that," he said.

It was another strong game for senior Trenton Nimmick. Sullivan said he played a heck of a game for the Wolves taking multiple reps running the ball and playing strong on defense as well.

"He's one of our playmakers and we have to find ways to get the ball in his hand," he said.

Going into the game, Sullivan discussed the importance of the play from the offensive line and said he saw lots of improvements up front.

"Now we just have to maintain that play for four quarters now. But they will only keep improving and I'm excited to see how they play come Friday," he said.
