Wolves shine at home meet

It was an amazing day of racing in front of a home crowd last Saturday for the Three Forks High School and Middle School cross country teams.

According to head coach Tara Forsberg, the 2019 Headwaters Invitational went really well and they had some amazing volunteers that made it that way.

"It was a very fast course and the athletes were very pleased with times. Our kids did so well. So many personal bests and top place finishes," she said.

In the boys varsity race, freshman Jacob Ramsey had a tremendous race finishing in second place with a time of 18:15. Devon Potts was fifth at 19:19, Garrett Golding was sixth at 19:42, Aden Lehr finished in sevneth with a time of 20:26, Dean Buchholz was 10th with a finish of 20:35 and Jaron Berg was 13th with a time of 20:53.

In the girls varsity race, Hannah Wilson was third with a finish of 21:20, Lily Jones was sixth at 22:00, and Kodee Kolberg was seventh with a time of 22:02.

The Wolves also shined in the junior varsity boys race with Beau Johnston finishing in first place with a time of 19:13. Trace Hay was second at 20:13, Noah Hegar was third at 21:32, Asher Lehr was fourth at 23:24, Aiden Pfadt finished fifth with at time of 24:49 and John Ward ended his race in sixth place and a time of 25:38.

Three Forks was also very strong in the middle school races.


In the girls race, Bella Jones finished in first place with a time of 13:42. Ari Judd finished in second place with a time of 14:11. Others competing for the Lady Wolves were Zandra Potts (14:56), Maddie Griffiths (15:21), Gracie Williams (15:33), Claire Cutler (15:40), Kylie Martin (15:51), Devyn Judd (16:06), Alyssa Golding (16:34), Lauren Welch (16:38), Aislyn Gifford (17:50) and Anna Dabling (18:32).

The Wolves dominated the boys middle school race and had the top four finishers. Bryon Fanning was first with a time of 12:00, Cass Violett was second at 12:16, Gabe Hungerford was third at 12:22, and Sam Ramsey was fourth at 12:54. Others competing for the Wolves were Rhett Violett (13:13), Jacob Murphy (13:23), Sawyer Marx (14:59), Caleb Hegar (15:17), Kiai Ingraham-Edmo (15:33), Geno Ferraya (15:50) and Brady Olson (16:54).
