New daycare opens in Three Forks

October 30, 2019

There is a new daycare facility in Three Forks.

Grandma's Drop Zone opened for business on October 15 and is located in the basement of the Three Forks Community Library at 607 S. Main.

Owner Tracy Colsch moved to Three Forks in March and in August found out her grandson's daycare in town was closing. She then decided to spring into action and open the facility.

"The town needs a daycare and I just kind of flew with it," she said.

A grandmother of six with another on the way, Colsch said the name of the business comes from her experience with her own family as well as kids feeling comfortable and familiar with their grandparents.

She is also pleased with the space at the library that she has filled with puzzles, books, games and other items for the kids.

"I love the space down here. I think it is perfect. There is enough here for all ages," she said.

Colsch is fully insured and is currently finishing up her licensing with the state and when that is completed, she will be able to take 12 kids at the business that will be open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

For more information please visit or call Colsch at 763-210-8835.
