Our View: Our View: Thanks to all doing their part

April 15, 2020

Thank you to everyone locally who is playing a role in keeping Montana safe and healthy.

Doctors, PAs, nurses, first responders, and others really are making a difference in their battle on the frontlines. Thank you for all of your efforts and the time and dedication you are showing to help us all.

Thank you to everyone who is working in retail. Day in and day out you go into a job where you have to deal with the public. You don't know who is sick and who isn't, but you show up and help get people the items they need. You also have to deal with crazy panic shopping which deserves another huge pat on the back.

Thank you to all the other workers who are doing their part.

Thanks to all the hard-working small business owners who may have had to shut down or scale back their operations. We thank you for all the times you stepped up for the community by donating to a sports organization or fundraiser and always being there. It's time now to be there for you.

Thanks to all the educators who are still doing their part to mold the minds of our kids. This is different for students, teachers, administration, and staff, but they are adapting and doing the best they can.

Thanks for those who are continuing to keep our students or seniors fed with meals on wheels programs. This is a wonderful thing you both are doing.

People can argue till their blue in the face about shelter in place, but there is no arguing that it will be in effect in Montana till at least April 24. Thanks for all those staying home and following guidelines. I'm sure you are a little stir crazy, but thanks for doing your part.

Soon we will all be able to go back to what was once considered normal.
