It's once again time for the Rodeo Dayz Celebration in Three Forks.
The popular annual event will return in 2021 with three days of events headlined by the annual Three Forks NRA Rodeo scheduled for Friday, July 16, and Saturday, July 17.
Three Forks Rodeo Arena Board Member Chuck Wambeke said they are more than enthused to have the event back in 2021 and expect a great crowd, and that attendance will help the finances for the bleacher project.
The theme for 2021 is Celebrating 75 Years of Rodeo, and the Grand Marshal will be Three Forks Rodeo Icons (Rodeo Volunteers).
The event will kick off Thursday, July 15, at the Three Forks Farmer's Market at John Q Adams Milwaukee Park. The popular stick horse rodeo is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the market. Chamber Executive Director Melissa Jenkins said the stick horse rodeo is always well attended and lauded the gracious sponsors for this year's event.
New to Rodeo Dayz in 2021 is a concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at the arena that will feature Levi Blom and Kailey Marie.
Friday, July 16, will start with slack at the arena at 8 a.m., followed by the First Security Bank Community Appreciation Barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Registration for the 2021 All-School Reunion is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at John Q. Adams Park.
The event will take place both days with registration on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The gates for the rodeo will open Friday at 6 p.m., with action scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday is Family Night at the rodeo, and kids ages 7-12 will get in free with a donation to the Headwaters Area Food Bank.
CLOSE 2 TOAST will be playing live at the street dance scheduled for after the rodeo. The street dance will take place until 1 a.m.
A busy Saturday, July 17, will start early with the annual Fireman's Breakfast, which will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The street fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a DJ and local performers on the entertainment stage on Main beginning at 10 a.m The Rodeo Dayz Parade will start at 11 a.m. A magic show will take place following the parade in front of the Chiropractic Clinic.
A food truck rodeo to raise money for the Headwaters Area Food Bank is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Cedar Street.
The gates for the rodeo will open Saturday at 6 p.m. with action once again at 7 p.m.
The 2021 Rodeo Dayz Celebration will conclude with the street dance featuring Matt Wallin and His Nervous Breakdown Band, who will play following the rodeo until 1 a.m.
Those interested in becoming vendors this year can call 285-4753 to reserve their spot. The cost is free for chamber members, $15 for non-profits, and $25 for non-chamber members.
