After several months of negotiations with Montana Rail Link about the future of the Trident Depot in 2010, the Three Forks Area Historical Society was told they could have the building if they agreed to move it. Shortly before relocating the building to its current home in Three Forks, members of the society were moving stuff out of the depot when local resident Larry Wilcox showed up and said he would like to help.
Historical Society member Pat Townsend said at that time, nobody had a set plan on what they were going to do with the depot and gladly welcomed the help from Wilcox.
