One could almost describe it as a scene from a movie as my large extended family wrapped up Thanksgiving dinner and sat around the table talking.

When there were still empty stomachs the conversation was more small talk but as bellies filled with food and a few spirits it would always turn into a very spirited and sometimes heated debate. As soon as someone mentioned politics the mood of the room would quickly change.
