City officials report positive feedback about grant applications

In late December, the City of Three Forks submitted FEMA Building, Resilient, Infrastructure & Communities (BRIC) and Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant applications to the state of Montana. According to City Treasurer/Flood Plain Administrator Kelly Smith, the Montana Disaster and Emergency Services (DES) returned the applications with several things to change and correct.
At last week’s Council meeting, Smith told the governing body they would work with Headwaters Economics and Great West Engineering to submit it to the state, who has to submit the applications to FEMA by January 20. Af...
