BCSO to purchase body scanner

 


The Broadwater County Commission has given the go-ahead for the Sheriff’s Office to obtain a Request for Proposals for a Body Scanner for the detention center in Townsend.

The scanner will be utilized to check inmates for weapons, drugs, and any other contraband.

BCSO Captain Nick Rauser estimated the cost for the scanner would be $130,000 to $150,000.
