While there may have been overcast conditions, the Three Forks High School Cross Country team had some blazing hot times and numerous personal records at last Friday's Headwaters Invite.
It was a banner day for the Wolves, with the boys finishing first and the girls finishing second.
"We love our home meet for the fast times. With so many athletes running their fastest times, it gives them all a little mental boost. I was so proud of everyone who ran. They have put in the work, and it is showing in their races," Head Coach Tara Forsberg said.
It was a fantastic day for senior Beau Johnston. Forsberg said Johnston was shooting for a time under 17 minutes and did just that, setting a PR with his second-place finish at 16:56.
Junior Bryon Fanning also had a strong race finishing in sixth with a PR of 17:10. Senior Garrett Golding was eighth with a time of 17:35, and sophomore Cass Violett had an 11th place finish with a PR of 17:58. Freshman Kiai Ingraham finished 18th with a PR of 19:12, senior Finn Hanson and freshman Christopher Harmon (PR) both finished at 19:41.
Jacob Ramsey was second in the junior varsity race with a time of 19:29.
Sophomore Bella Jones once again shined for the Lady Wolves, finishing in fourth place with a PR of 21:31. Junior Ari Judd was tenth at 22:27, and senior Brielle Davis finished 12th with a PR of 22:30. Sophomore Grace Kluin finished in 14th with a PR of 22:38, and Devynn Judd finished 22nd with a time of 24:11.
The Three Forks Girl's Middle School team had three finish in the top ten, led by Teegan Gifford, who finished third with a time of 13:48. Acie Kelley was fourth at 14:05, and Tadley Kelly finished 10th with a time of 14:53.
