Johnston earns All-American honors

Three Forks senior Beau Johnston finished his winter running season in dynamic fashion earning All-American Status at last Saturday's USATF National Junior Olympics Cross Country Championships in College Station, Texas.

According to Coach Tara Forsberg, Johnston received All-American status after finishing 23rd at the event. Competing as a member of the Three Forks Running Club, Johnston finished the race with a time of 17:12.6.

Forsberg said Johnston and the other Three Forks runners had an amazing race, and junior Bryon Fanning just missed the mark for All-American by eight seconds. Fanning finished the race at a time of 17:21.5.

Cass Violett had a time of 18:25.3, Finn Hanson finished at 19:51.3, and Rhett Violett ended the race at 21:19.3.

As a team, Three Forks finished in 17th place.

"I love the dedication of these young men and look forward to seeing what they are able to do in their futures of running," Forsberg said.
