Three Forks Schools FFA Chapter hosts District Leadership Event

February 1, 2023

The Three Forks parliamentary procedure team consisting of: Roree Smith, Grace Kluin, Sophie Meskimen, Finn Hanson, Calla Donnelly and Alecia Donnelly finished in second at last month's FFA SW District Leadership Development Event.

The Three Forks FFA Chapter had the monumental task of hosting this year's SW District Leadership Development Event on Friday January 20, 2023. Nearly 200 people converged on the Three Forks High School. Students compete in Sales, prepared public speaking, extemporaneous speaking, junior and senior creed speaking, conduct of meeting and parliamentary procedure. The purpose of these competitions is to challenge students to develop critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills, foster teamwork and promote communication while recognizing the value of ethical competition and individual achievement.

The Three Forks parliamentary procedure team consisting of: Roree Smith, Grace Kluin, Sophie Meskimen, Finn Hanson, Calla Donnelly and Alecia Donnelly placed second overall. Cadence Brown placed second in extemporaneous speaking. The parliamentary team and Brown have earned the opportunity to compete at the state level in March.

The Three Forks FFA chapter would like to thank the members of the community who judged and the businesses that sponsored the event. We would not have been able to host this event without their support.
