Three Forks Firefighters attend Scott Stairclimb

Ascend 69 stories at Seattle skyscraper

The Three Forks Volunteer Fire Department had a tremendous showing on March 12 at the 32nd Annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb at the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle.

Captain Charles Eastty, Captain Cheryl Carrasco, and Firefighter Chase Moore ascended 69 flights of stairs to the top of the fourth largest skyscraper west of the Mississippi River in full turnout gear, using a self-contained breathing apparatus.

In his first year at the event, Moore had a phenomenal time of 15:54. Carrasco finished at 23:49, and Eastty finished at 25:31.

The event raises money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
