Three Forks High School Cross Country and Track standout athlete Beau Johnston signed a letter of intent last Friday to continue his career at Rocky Mountain College in Billings.

"I'm very excited to sign with Rocky. This is a very big step, and I'm on to the next chapter in my life," Johnston said.

TFHS Head Cross Country Coach Tara Forsberg said having Johnston as a team member for the past four years was amazing.

"He is an excellent example for everybody. He worked hard, never questioned anything, and just ran and did his best. I'm excited to see him go on to college," Forsberg said.

Johnston earned All-State honors in October with an eighth-place finish at State. Johnston was earned All-American status at the national finals last December in Texas, and was later named

the 2022 Montana Athlete of the Year in the 17-18-year-old division for USATF Junior Olympic Cross Country.
