School construction work continues

While school is officially out for the summer, work continues on the Three Forks Schools Building Project.

At last week's School Board Meeting, Andy Becker, Project Manager for Hulteng CCM, reported they still have a lot of work with flooring over the summer, which will start on July 15 and should be completed by August 11. Becker said work on the roof replacement is going really well and should be done by August 11. He added they are also doing work on siding and replacing windows.

Becker told the Board he is carrying out the "punch list" for contractors until August 11, and he hopes to mitigate many of the one-year walkthrough items. A one-year walkthrough for the project is scheduled for June 26, 2024.

According to Becker, a big thing coming up for the project will be a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Commission agent visiting the school to ensure every piece of equipment functions as designed.

According to Becker, $23.9 million has been spent on the project.
