Danni Kober selected to Montana All-State Choir, Noah Murphy is first alternate

Three Forks High School sophomore Danni Kober was recently selected to sing Alto II in the prestigious Montana All-State Choir.

Kober will join others from around the state to perform at the Montana Music Educator Festival scheduled for October 18 to 20 in Missoula.

According to Jonathan Sutton, her music teacher last school year, students from Class AA to Class C audition to perform in the elite group.

“Students make an audition recording in the spring, and it is quite rare for a sophomore to make the ensemble,” Sutton said.

Three Forks senior Noah Murphy was also selected as a first alternate for the group.

“Both of these students deserve to be recognized for this achievement,” Sutton said.

According to Sutton, the event committee brings in clinicians from across the country. The All-State Choir director is Dr. Angela Kasper from Western Washington University.
