Wolves finish with impressive times in Bozeman

For the second straight week against some of the top competition in the state, the Three Forks High School Cross Country team once again shined at last Saturday's Bozeman Invite.

"We had a great meet. Our girls did very well. Bella Jones and Teegan Gifford ran in the mid 21's. We just need to work on tightening up as a whole, but I'm very pleased with all of their efforts," Head Coach Tara Forsberg said.

Jones led the Lady Wolves with a time of 21:24.88, and Gifford finished with a time of 21:38.85. Ari Judd finished at 22:41.87, Grace Kluin finished at 22:47.51, Devynn Judd had a time of 25:15.30, and Pailey Lampers finished at 31:14.42.

On the boys' side, senior Bryon Fanning continued his torrid start to the season with a time of 16:46.30. Cass Violett had an excellent day for the Wolves, finishing with a time of 17:41.12.

Christopher Harmon finished at 19:08.47, Micah Gather had a time of 19:08.51, Kiai Ingraham finished at 19:43.07, Rhett Violett finished at 20:52.97 and Lucas Petersen had a time of 21:52.05.

"Our boys looked really solid. They really prepared and competed well today. I love seeing their focus," Forsberg said.

In the junior varsity race, Aubrey Lema finished with a time of 32:37.37 for the girls' team.

Gavin Richards led the boys' JV team at 22:37.30, Jace Wiseman finished at 25:55.23, and Jacoby Berg finished at 27:53.34.

The Wolves will next compete at a meet on Friday in Butte.

"We are looking forward to Butte and working towards fine-tuning," Forsberg said.

The Three Forks Middle School girls' team had an impressive day in Bozeman, including two top-20 finishes.

Lorali Thomas led the way, finishing in tenth place at 8:50.45. Acie Kelley finished in 15th with a time of 9:14.30. Naomi Gifford finished at 9:48.27, Haylee Smith finished at 9:57.09, Linley Noble finished at 10:07.61, Anna Tribble had a time of 10:11.32, Elizabeth Crosiar had a time of 10:14.63, Tadley Kelly finished at 10:22.70, and Victoria Kotter had a time of 10:29.63.

Other times from the girls' middle school team were Sidney Forsberg (10:50.59), Cooper Fallang (11:04.99), Audrey Keller (11:09.02), Molly McDaniel (11:42.96), Peyton Lauver (12:57.60), Zoe Dabling (14:14.10), Chloe Dell (14:49.10), and Abi Williams (15:03.12).

Sean Jung led the team in the middle boys' race at 9:22.94. David Harmon finished at 9:48.83, Landon Rios finished at 10:01.48, Benson Judd finished at 10:53.36, Finley Lewellen had a time of 12:04.76, and Zane Pauzauskie had a time of 14:03.24.
